Put in an order for a notebook on July 16th 08, it didnt get shipped until July 22nd. What's worse, they put the address wrong after 3 emails between the CSR and me confirming the shipping address.
I have filed a complaint with the shipping department and waiting for Mark, the supervisor to provide me with an answer. If their CSRs are any indication, I am not going to get a call any time soon.

Recently ordered a PS3 bundle from the sonystyle site. Aside from some minor issues regarding the shipping address (you can't ship to an address that is different than your address on file with your credit card) everything went smoothly.
Not sure what their service is like for returns though. Also they don't accept their gift cards as payment.

I was buying a prosumer-level camcorder light. While they had a fascinatingly wide-range of products available, it was very difficult to find actual information on the individual products aside from the sales descriptions. I had to rely on outside websites to figure out various specifications, power requirements, battery-type, etc...
Checkout was moderately simple, delivery was on time and in perfect condition.

In summary, I have had a bad experience with them when the transaction does not go smoothly.
The CSRs are largely useless. The have a poor "I'm right and you're wrong" attitude, they cannot think for themselves, they keep spewing their policies and they certainly can't read. Plus the site itself is overpriced because they sell at MSRP for the most part.
I ordered an alarm clock with them but it will be returned because they screwed up the order, and then sent it after I told them I don't want it anymore after such a bad experience.

I made an order for a 15" LCD for $149.99 (model # SDMHS53W) with sonystyle.ca which according to the webpage was in stock at the time of my order. The next day sonystyle.ca sends an automated e-mail stating they can't fulfill the order because they don't have stock.. fair enough I thought.. but then I find out that several people that had ordered AFTER me had their orders fulfilled whereas mine was systematically cancelled? I then sent a few e-mails to Sony Customer Support which were ignored/not replied to.. then a day after they told me that they couldn't fulfill my order(s) their website all of a sudden showed stock again but at the regular price? I even went to my local Sony Store and they also had stock of the 15" LCDs yet they wouldn't honour my online order for some reason. They stated it was a "pricing error" yet sonystyle.ca had a full page ad for the deal? The guy then proceeded to tell me that it was a "Sony" LCD and because of this there is no way that the price could be $149.99 when "inferior" 15" LCDs were selling for $200. I mean come on get your head out of the clouds, do you really think consumers are that naive? Also the cancellation e-mail made no mention of an error nor did any of the phone reps mention this that I spoke with. So I doubt that it was an error I mean after all it was an older model that had a 30ms response time and the colour was white which I'm guessing isn't the most popular colour for an LCD. All in all I'm very disappointed with how SonyStyle.ca went about handling this and will think twice before buying another Sony product and this is coming from a customer that has bought thousands of dollars worth of Sony products in the past. Overall a very poor online shopping experience.
