I just bought a wdtv live from them for 12 days. The device working perfectly but on thing iwas worrying about is the device is always hot even i don't use it or turn it on. I don't have anything to measure the temp. but guessing at least it's above 40-45 deg.C ( cuz it's much hotter than our body temp. which about 37C). I 1st called WD Support and ask, they said that's not usual, the max. temp. should be about 20-25C, they ask me to return to where i buy if possible.
I brought the unit back to the store and had to leave it there for the tech do the testing, the next day when i went back to the store, the tech told me it's normal. I asked them to obtain the temp. or at least guess the temp. the way he feels for me so i can determine to WD.
The tech denied to tell and keeps saying it's normal. He then let me talk to the manager, the manager also says it's normal and told me that WD Tech.Support don't know and don't care about anybody call in, it's better and easier for them to tell people to return to the store.
He then told me that he can take the unit back and charge me 15% restocking (funny). I was so mad and told him that my main concern is not returning the unit, i want to keep the unit but want to make sure i'm not buying a bad piece so i can decide wheter return or not.
I knew that it's a waste of time talking to these guys, since they print your receipt of sale that is the end of the story.
I just took the unit home and call WD again, again, WD saying it shouldn't be that hot,WD tell me to ship back to WD and they send me a new one but i have to pay for my own shipping charge to WD. I said to them if that is the case then i should keep and use the unit until it's burned down and send it in to get a new one before the warranty expire, WD said that's ok to do.
CC have good prices on any products but they policy is sucked. From now on, i wont buy anything from them unless it's afew buck items like: cables, plugs,etc,...No way spending hundreds of dollars on CanadaComputers again. Thanks for no thanks

Good prices, good selection, fast low cost shipping. Ordered a few times from this store, went well every time. Also check out Infonec, BestDirect, Dytronix, NCIX, DirectCanada, XpressCanada for computer items. All are good, and offer good prices ... compare !

I have to be honest I was a bit hesitant due to the comments/reviews from others but absolutely could not resist the deal they were offering on the BenQ LCD 24" Monitor so I went ahead with an order.
I have been to one of their stores locally in Ottawa but this was my first experience ordering online. I placed the order evening on Sunday, and by mid Tuesday the monitor was on my desk at home in Winnipeg!
For $10 shipping I have to say that exceeded my expectations. The next day I received the confirmation email that it was shipped along with a FedEx tracking number, and the day after that I had it! The monitor is absolutely amazing, not a single dead pixel thankfully. The box upon arrival was damaged, it was evident something heavy/large had struck the box on it's broad side gashing it open but the monitor didn't have a scratch on it and it's anyone's guess if this occurred at C.C. or with FedEx. Nonetheless I was happy I didn't have to begin with the whole customer service route to get it rectified cause we all know that can be draining at times.
Good job Canada Computers, I would do it again and thanks RedFlagDeals.com for finding this deal, $199 for this monitor is a sin!

Twice I have ordered from this place, I get an email confirming the order and that's it. I call them after a week, someone tell; will ship today. It was right i received my order 2 days later. The packaging was poor or none, but the item was not broken. I must also say you can't view your orders/invoices via their site. There is no order management via their site, you must call them,it seem they forget you after the order is placed, but they charge your credit card right away after the order. It is a shame because they have very good sales stuff,if i was the boss i would kick some ass hard. I am not very confident to do business with them again.

At first, I was wary of ordering from Canada Computers, which in turn lead me to write this review. I took my chances last Friday night ordering Logitech S220 speakers, because although they were not exactly the cheapest retail price (but close to), the $6.99 shipping was much cheaper than its competitors. Making sure there were plenty in stock and knowing that shipping doesn't occur on weekends, I waited until Monday to check the status of my order.
Surprisingly, by Monday morning my order was on the truck and a tracking number had been given to me. Less than a day later, the package arrived by courier even though I had been concerned about delivery (as technically I live in an area with RR addresses, and Canada Computers said they do not ship to these). The packaging was not excessive yet the contents were secured.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the order and shipping process. Due to this, I plan to order from Canada Computers in the near future.

My recent experience with CC hasn't been a good one. They had a special on HD a couple of weeks ago, picked up two. Waited to get the HD enclosure, again picked up two when the time was right. One didn't work on day one; the other die after 3 uses.
Problem here is, the packages was opened prior to my purchase. My gut feeling was, don't get it but ... I gave in. Opened the first enclosure ... the power supply and cables were wrap with elastic bands. First indication of a problem; item was returned! However, the packaging had no identification that it was an "Opened Item". Returned that one without any problems. The second enclosure failed after 3 uses. Bought it back and the tech guy doing the returns was asking, what do you want me to do about it? At least I was able to exchange to something else.
Lesson here is ... if the product is in it's factory seal, it should be okay to buy from them. If anything is opened, AVOID like the plague! No if then or but! Those "Opened" packages all have problems! They just put the items back on the shelf and hopes to make it someone else problem; pass the defect product to the next available person!

In the two years I've ordered from this online retailer, not once have I had any real problems. I've ordered items as small as a stick of DDR2 ram, to hard drives, drive enclosures, printers, computer cases, fans, and a 22" LCD monitor. Never had any issues with orders arriving late, missing items, or no out-of-stock notices.
Once, I ordered an ATI video card that was supposed to come with a rebate, but the form was not on the site. I e-mailed them and they had the form uploaded by the end of the afternoon.
Delivery always came the morning of the second Business days, and I live near Montreal. Flat rate shipping on larger items such as a monitor is great too, because it could easily cost double or even triple the price elsewhere. So I can easily recommend this place to my friends, and continue to use them as a reliable store to buy from.

The product couldn't be found in the list of rebates. So, I wouldn't buy anything with a rebate from these guys. They make it extra hard for you to get the rebate money. All their support did was direct me to the same page after 3 days.

Well, I just learned a $60 lesson.... purchassed a SODIMM module online from them. When I received the memory, the package was already opened. When I installed the memory, it was defective so I returned the memory (at my cost for freight) and now they're saying that the memory I returned wasn't the product on my order and they are denying my RMA. Like I said - expensive lesson learned... first & LAST time I will deal with them!!!
